Last updated

1. Who we are

Challenger Enviro (ABN 48 758 341 341) provides commercial waste and recycling services to businesses across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

When you contact us, request a quote or become a customer, we may collect:

  • your name, business name, phone number and email address
  • your suburb or postcode and site addresses
  • details of your waste services, bins and collection needs
  • waste invoices you send us, which may include account numbers, services and pricing
  • billing and payment details if you become a customer

We collect this through our website forms, by phone and by email.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, review invoices you send us, set up and manage your services, bill you, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing if you agree to it, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only where needed to deliver our services, including with collection partners who service your site, providers of our email, software and accounting systems, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Some providers may store information outside Australia. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected.

5. Our website

Our forms use a captcha service to prevent spam, which may process limited technical information about your device. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking on our forms. Form submissions and uploaded invoices are sent to our team by email and are not stored on the website.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: two years, then deleted.
  • Invoices sent for review: deleted within 12 months if no service agreement follows.
  • Customer records: seven years, as required for tax and business records.

7. Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and limit access to people who need it to do their work.

8. Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below.

9. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle your information, email or call 1300 310 910. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
